Jeep Patriot Review by Kelley Blue Book
|
With roots tracing back to World War Two, no manufacturer is more associated with go-anywhere, do-anything off-road capability than Jeep. Now, more than 60 years after its introduction, the definition of the Jeep brand is expanding. Unlike previous Jeeps, the Patriot is based on a front-drive, unibody compact car platform that it shares with the Jeep Compass and the Dodge Caliber. Although mechanically similar to those vehicles, the Patriot is designed to be more capable off-road than either the Caliber or Compass. The all new Patriot plows new ground for the Jeep brand in the compact SUV category. With good fuel economy, boxy Jeep styling and a starting price under $15,000, the Patriot offers an interesting package for people looking for an affordable SUV they can take off road.
